    any suggestions? i'm not up on pop fiction at all (i fell in love with 19th century stuff and have been stuck!). I am getting quite a bit 20th century French lit in two of my classes, well, three actually (have I mentioned I hate the french major?)

    Wow, that's a lot of books! Here's a suggestion: cut the list down to 1 or 2, watch TV or go to a few movies instead (much more efficient!), and then enjoy all the extra free time you'll have. If you must stick with books, maybe try a few that are not so orthodox :-)
