Bearing the cost

I wish she would grow up. She wasted all her school time wanting to be the age she is now, and she'll waste all the rest of her life trying to stay that age. Her whole idea is to race on to the silliest time of one's life as quick as she can and then stop there as long as she can. - Lewis, "The Last Battle" - about Susan and how silly she is being, saying that Narnia is for children

Life catch up

Working as a cashier at Walmart: how do people actually do this for a living?
So, found out Tuesday that I didn't get the job with Teach for America. Was rather disappointed, though not as upset as I thought I'd be. I think this Calvinism thing is really catching on: God has a plan for me.
Found out Friday that I aced the semester - whoo hoo - I think my physics professor just got tired of grading and decided to hand out As, cause I definitely didn't deserve one!
Found out later in the day that I got a 168 on the LSAT. To the non-LSAT takers out there, the LSAT is out of 180 and my score is in the 97th percentile: this is Harvard and Columbia worthy! So I'm completely pumped now.
Basically everyone has said it: God's slammed the door in one area and totally opened another for me. I'm really excited about law school, basically because I do believe that it's God's will for me. I can't wait to find out what's in store for me; I'm hoping to go to Texas, because I think I'd adore Austin, but we'll see. Dad thinks that if I get into a stretch school I should seriously consider going there (read: New England or East Coast). I think we'll go on campus visits in January.
Yeah! Life is happening right now!

Narnia

I went to Narnia last night - so amazingly wonderful.
